PubsBot

Overview

PubsBot is a simple bot that provides headlines from various online publications. (The particular feeds that are available are determined by the Habotat administrator.) Each headline is hyperlinked to the full text of the article, and may also include a brief summary of the article.

Tutorial

Type the bot's name for a summary of all of the available commands:

To get a list of all available publications, use the ? command. This will list the keyword for each publication in bold, followed by its full title.

Finally, to see the latest headlines for a specific publication, type the bot's name followed by the keyword for that publication. For example:

The number of headlines retrieved will be limited by the maximum length of an instant message on the IM network. The frequency with which the feeds are updated is determined by the Habotat administrator.
